Texas has already downed two ranked opponents this season, but Oklahoma will be their toughest test yet.
The No. 7 Oklahoma Sooners will play host to the No. 19 Texas Longhorns in one of the early matchups on Saturday, beginning at 12 p.m. ET on FOX (live streaming via FuboTV, FOX Sports GO). It will be yet another chapter in the Red River Rivalry, but one in which Oklahoma, undefeated at 5-0, is favored.
The Red River Rivalry is one of the oldest and most storied rivalries in all of sports. On the football field, Texas leads the all-time series, 61-46-5, with Oklahoma picking up a 29-24 victory in their last meeting a year ago. They also won the prior year, but Texas managed a win in 2015.
Oklahoma owns five wins, but they have yet to face a ranked opponent this season. Texas is one of three such opponents on the schedule this season. After a season-opening loss to Maryland, Texas righted the ship and scored big wins over then-No. 22 USC and then-No. 17 TCU. Most recently they went to the wire against Kansas State, but came out on top.

- Despite winning their last game, the Sooners dropped one spot in the AP Poll this past week. They just hung 66 points on Baylor in a win.
- While Murray is the center of the Oklahoma offense, Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger has been able to use his legs to help the Longhorns’ running game.
Texas vs. Oklahoma prediction
In the latest S&P+ rankings, Oklahoma is worth 22.0 points, good for sixth in the nation and up two points from a week ago. Texas comes in at just 10.2 points, rising five spots over the past week. This would mean that Oklahoma would have an 11.8-point advantage on a neutral field. It’s a Texas home game, but Oklahoma remains the smart pick here.
