KD had to hold Kerr back, but not before the Warriors coach could get a few more words in.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr had another clipboard meltdown on Wednesday night against the Trail Blazers, though this time he didn’t break it into pieces like he did in the 2016 Finals. It took a 7-foot Kevin Durant holding him back to separate him from the referee. This was peak Angry Kerr, who earned his money’s worth by shouting long after he was already ejected.

The Warriors head coach was flabbergasted that Draymond Green was whistled for a flagrant foul for a tough shove under the rim. The call was against Zach Collins, who had just been in a verbal dispute with Klay Thompson moments before.

On second, third, fourth and fifth rewatch, there are a number of perfect moments from everyone else amid the Kerr tantrum that need to be appreciated. In chronological order:
1. Klay Thompson just stood over the crime scene
After the clipboard smacked the hardwood, our memeable hero just went to the tables to get some chalk for his hands. Then, he stood over the clipboard complete unfazed.
He lives in his own world and this just proves it.

2. This woman was here for the drama though

I’d be pumped if I got front row seats to that mess, too.
3. Steph Curry was thoroughly bored and also maybe tired
Steph did not get involved at all in the debacle. Instead he looked like a dad whose kid said they had to go to the bathroom, 10 minutes and one rest stop after saying she didn’t.

Steph was not in the mood for Rage Kerr.
4. KD had to physically drag Kerr
Durant took Kerr by the shoulders and move him out of the way. The best part here is that Kerr at first wasn’t having it, and then gave a half hug.
KD and Kerr were the drunk couple at the bar who need one another to prevent a fist-fight.

5. Kerr got that one final jab in
Kerr had to play peek-a-boo a bit behind KD’s skyscraper shoulders, but he got those final words in.
If you’re gonna do it, you really gotta do it.

6. Kerr joked with reporters to “get the f— out of the way” postgame

Oh, Steve. Thank you for your elite tantrums.
