Baltimore Ravens starting guard Alex Lewis sustained a scary injury in the team’s game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. Lewis went down and was immediately surrounded by medical personnel.
He remained down for some time, and was eventually strapped to a backboard, with his head and neck immobilized. He was then taken off the field on the cart to an ambulance.
The Ravens stated that Lewis has a neck injury, is moving all of his extremities, and is being taken to Vanderbilt hospital for further examination:

Lewis appeared to lift his hand to signal to his teammates as he was being carted off, Jeff Zrebeiec of The Athletic.
Lewis underwent a CT scan at the hospital and has been released. He’ll travel with the team back to Baltimore, and will undergo further tests on Monday, the team announced.
Lewis, 26, was a fourth-round pick by the Ravens in 2016 and has missed significant time in his career with ankle and shoulder injuries. He is the starting left guard for Baltimore.
